Joseph F. Eddy
President
Joseph Eddy is the President of JE Properties and sits on the investment committee. Mr. Eddy leads the company’s real estate development and acquisition activities.
Prior to joining JE Properties, Mr. Eddy worked at a nationally recognized development company where he was responsible for developing mixed-income, market-rate, and affordable housing as well as mixed-use projects. He oversaw the redevelopment of the 1 million square foot mixed-use Sibley Square project in Rochester, NY and various other housing projects. Prior to that, Mr. Eddy worked with mortgage lenders Fantini & Gorga as a Managing Director, where he structured and placed financing on every property type across all segments of the capital markets. Throughout his career at Fantini & Gorga he worked on more than 100 transactions totaling more than $1.5 billion. He also previously worked at Eastern Bank in the corporate lending, equipment leasing, commercial real estate, and troubled asset groups.
Mr. Eddy serves on the Real Estate Advisory Board for Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Boston. He is a member of NAIOP, is a past Vice President of the Notre Dame Club of Greater Boston and past Vice President on the Alumni Council of The Fenn School.
Mr. Eddy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he double majored in Economics and Pre-medicine.
Gary A. Jennison II
Chairman
Gary Jennison, Jr. is the Chairman of JE Properties and sits on its investment committee. Mr. Jennison also oversees the Corcoran Jennison Companies Management entities. Overseeing a portfolio of over 14,000 residential units and 500,000 square feet of commercial property.
Prior to his role as Chairman of JE Properties and President of multiple companies Mr. Jennison served as a development and operations director of multi-family, hotel and commercial properties including the Hampton Inn, Crosstown Center in Boston, The Peninsula Apartments in Boston, and the HOPE VI conversion of a public housing development into mixed-income housing in a public/private partnership with the Pittsburg Housing Authority.
Prior to his joining the Corcoran Jennison Companies, Mr. Jennison served in the Boston office of PricewaterhouseCoopers where he became a Certified Public Accountant. While at PwC, he served clients in the real estate, mutual fund, pension fund, health care and high tech sectors including State Street Bank, Raytheon and Partners Healthcare.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Home Builders and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Jennison is on the Board of Directors of the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association. He is a graduate of the Carroll School of Business at Boston College where he double majored in accounting and finance.
Gary A. Jennison SR
Founder
Gary Jennison Sr founded the company and serves as an active consultant to the company. Mr. Jennison is also a founding partner of the Corcoran Jennison Companies that during its half-century of existence have developed, built, and managed a portfolio of residential housing, hotels, resorts, and office buildings valued at over $3.5 billion including the transformation of several public housing developments into private mixed-income affordable housing including the award-winning 1,250-unit Harbor Point on the Bay in Boston.
He has served on the Board of Directors of the National Housing Rehabilitation Association, Greater Boston Rental Housing Association, the Quincy Savings Bank, and is a Life Director of the National Association of Home Builders. He also served as President of the Builders Association of Greater Boston and was named their “Builder of the Year.” He has also served on Boston’s Private Industry Council to assist local public schools in enhancing education programs and on committees of The United Way and the National Conference for Community and Justice. Mr. Jennison was appointed by the Governor to the Task Force on Private Affordable Housing Production, which successfully authored significant housing legislation, and was a member of the Blue Ribbon Task Force to create affordable housing. He has spoken before national and local groups on the subject of housing, and has lectured at several colleges on real estate development and construction.
In addition to also founding the Jennison Charitable Foundation assisting the educational needs of students from lower-income families, Mr. Jennison is a former Trustee and Chairman of the Board of Bentley College, from which he graduated and holds an Honorary Doctorate Degree.
Greg Jennison
Senior Vice President
Greg Jennison is Senior Vice President at JE Properties and sits on the investment committee. Mr. Jennison leads the company’s construction activities.
Mr. Jennison began his career at Corcoran Jennison Companies working as a field engineer in the construction division and sequentially worked as construction manager, then project manager, before transferring into the Company’s development division. In the development division he has worked in the role of project manager and project executive completing projects in the residential, commercial, and hospitality asset classes.
Subsequent to his experience at Corcoran Jennison Companies, Greg co-founded several entities which have been successfully involved in the development, construction, and acquisition of over $150 million of apartment and office properties and are still owned and managed by these entities.
Gregory is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College Carroll School of Management with a major in finance and holds a Massachusetts Builders License.
Richard Goldthwait
Vice President - Acquisitions
Mr. Goldthwait is the Vice President of Acquisitions for JE Properties, where he handles acquisitions, financing, and asset management for a growing portfolio of multifamily real estate investments.
Prior to joining JE Properties, Mr. Goldthwait served as Underwriter at Arbor Realty Trust, a New York based REIT, where he structured and closed over 50 transactions across the country totaling more than $250 million. Prior to Arbor, he was employed at Landmark Companies, a real estate development firm, where he worked on the development of several affordable housing projects in South Florida.
Mr. Goldthwait started his career at LNR Partners, now Starwood Properties, on the CMBS Investment Management team. He received a MS in Real Estate from Georgia Institute of Technology and holds a BBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami.
Jeremy Thurber
Chief Financial Officer
Jeremy Thurber is the Chief Financial Officer for JE Properties, where he leads the finance and accounting function. Mr. Thurber is responsible for budgets, banking relationships, and risk management programs.
Prior to joining JE Properties, Mr. Thurber was a Controller and Chief Compliance Officer at Rose Park Advisors, LLC, a Boston based RIA, where he co-led the operations and the finance team. Prior to joining Rose Park, Mr. Thurber spent 11 years in the assurance practice at Ernst & Young LLP serving asset management clients. His industry exposure includes registered and non-registered mutual funds, domestic and offshore hedge funds, private equity funds, management companies, and fund-of-funds. His primary clients while at Ernst & Young LLP included Morgan Stanley, Voya Financial, John Hancock, HarbourVest Partners, LLC, Loomis Salyes & Company, Convexity Capital Management, LLC, Amundi Pioneer, SQM Frontier Management LP, Three Bays Capital, Granite Point Capital Management LP, Intervale Capital LLC, Shellback Capital LP, and Rose Park Advisors, LLC.
Mr. Thurber holds a BS in Economics and Accounting and an MS in Accountancy from Brigham Young University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
